The Twelve Root Resolutions:
- Eat Right and Exercise Better
- Use Less Power, Smarter
- Learn Canadian French - Living in the only bi-lingual province, it would be nice to know the other official language.
- Brush Up on My German
- Visit The Someone More
- Appear as Academic as I Am.
- Stick to a Budget
- Make a Name, Make it Relevant
- Treat People Better
- Be More Spiritual
- Make Better Use of My Brain
- Complete a Fencer draft.
These Resolutions can be measured against the following Twenty Goals:
- Achieve and maintain a healthy weight. (1)
- Correspond throughout the year with Ex-Boss in German (4)
- Reduce power consumption by at least 15% versus the same month in the previous calendar year (2)
- Correspond with various Francophone friends throughout the year in French (3)
- Make at least 12 trips to Fredricton over the next year. (5, 9)
- Achieve and maintain a GPA of at least 3.75(6, 11)
- Do not experience a deficit over the Winter, Spring, and Fall terms of 2012 (7)
- Return to service on the SRC (6, 8, 9)
- Exercise regularly according to the health plan developed by Alec Stanley of MP fame. (1)
- Get and hold a job for at least eight months. (7, 8, 9, 11)
- Reduce food waste by 80% by weight (1, 2, 7, 11)
- Complete a translation of a section of a Short Work (comprising at least 14, 000 words) and have translation confirmed for both languages. (3, 4).
- Complete the Introduction to Epistimology writing. (6, 10, 11)
- Complete the RCAC Fitness Test at at least a Silver level by August 2012 (1)
- Give better Gifts (7, 9)
- Complete a draft of Fencer by November 2012 and have proof-read by year end. (11, 12)
- Reduce computer baseline power use by 10% (as measured with a power meter), (2)
- Reduce water consumption by 45% as calculated. (2)
- Reduce household garbage output (by weight) by 25% (2)
- Increase non-spam readership of A&G by 15% (8)
